A personal injury due to an open pothole in Chennai left a greater impact in her than the injury itself. She took upon herself a 30-day challenge. She took a vow to assert her rights by lodging complaints on civic woes on the roads by traversing the streets of Chennai – be it an open pothole, a broken streetlight or an overflowing garbage bin at the centre of the road. Raising complaints apart, she has chased it down to closure with innumerable follow ups needed to do so. 18 out of her 26 complaints have been resolved so far and her mission continues. Chennai is safer to that extent, thanks to her.
