In life, we come across situations wherein lives call out to us for help either to be saved or simply to be preserved. Do we respond to the call? Do we want to help, but are not equipped for it? Or do we just turn a blind eye and walk away?

Many of us fall into the second category and most of us in the last. But there are some who answer this call and act. Their action, whether directly or indirectly, helps in saving or preserving life with its dignity. The ALERT Being Award serves as a recognition for these Good Samaritans. It is an award for humanity.

WHY ALERT BEING AWARD?

Let not what your right-hand does, be known to your left. True, it’s good not to boast about one’s noble deeds. But if acts of goodness can inspire others, then why not? The ALERT Being Award is not only a recognition of humanity in times of medical emergencies but it also is a platform to put the spotlight on any act of kindness and compassion that has resulted in saving or preserving or enabled human life with its dignity to thrive. Such acts are the beacons of hope for humanity and the ALERT Being Award is it to bring to fore such inspirations to fellow beings.

Who can Apply/Nominate

Individuals

Life saving acts done during trauma / Disaster / Road Traffic accidents and other Medical Emergencies
Life saving acts by doing first aid during a medical emergency
Individuals working towards preserving and saving patients with terminal illness
Individuals working towards disease alleviation and disease related rehabilitation
Path breaking initiatives, innovations, and R&D for saving lives (All life threatening diseases and infections)

Going Beyond Call Of Duty

An individual in public service/day job who’s responsibility includes protection and saving of lives but goes that extra mile to save or protect life/lives is considered a Good Samaritan under this category
Individuals with professions involving the protection or saving of lives such as Doctors, nurses, paramedics, police personnel, army personnel, security guards, firemen, etc can apply

Organization

Any organisation focused on social responsibility towards
1. Road Safety, Healthcare
2. Rehabilitation
3. Disability
4. Physically challenged
5. Innovations, initiatives and R&D for
  saving lives
  Will be eligible to apply
Minimum of 5years existence of organisation is mandatory
Organisation should be a registered entity

The ALERT Being Award journey has been one that has honoured the ones who have acted in favour of saving or preserving or enabled human life with its dignity including but not restricted to the good samaritans who have rendered first aid during medical emergencies.

The ALERT Being Awards had its inception in 2017 and has been serving as a recognition to honour service towards humanity. Over these years, the event has highlighted great stories of humanity and service towards fellow beings. These stories have also served as an inspiration for common people to learn First Aid and Emergency Care procedures to Save Lives, which is the mission of ALERT. From famous personalities, great human beings, and organizations that have inculcated life-saving practices, the ALERT Being Awards has honoured those who have shown humanity in times it was most needed.
